The Stegall Wedding: A Celebration of Color, Culture, and Connection

When we first met Melany back in November 2023, she told us she wasn’t sure where to begin with planning her wedding. She had so many ideas—colorful, joyful, full of life—but didn’t quite know how to piece them together. From our very first conversation, we could tell how important it was for her and Cass to have a day that truly reflected who they are as a couple: vibrant, fun, deeply connected, and rooted in Melany’s Colombian heritage.

By the end of that first call, we knew this was going to be a special journey. And it was.

The Vision

Melany wanted their wedding to feel like a celebration in every sense of the word. She dreamed of something that honored her culture while also showcasing the bright, bubbly energy she and Cass share. Together, we started crafting a design that blended elegance with playfulness—something that would feel both timeless and full of personality.

The Ceremony

Their ceremony was elegant and bright, filled with joyful color from Petal & Grain Florals. The florals framed the moment beautifully, setting the tone for the rest of the day: vibrant, intentional, and heartfelt. Watching Melany and Cass exchange vows surrounded by so much color and emotion was such a full-circle moment after months of planning and dreaming together.

The Garden Party Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour was designed to feel like stepping into a secret garden. We layered textures and tones—floral linens, soft pillows, and statement furniture pieces—to create a cozy, conversational atmosphere. Guests sipped cocktails while a live violinist played, and it was one of those rare wedding moments where everything felt effortlessly alive. Every smile, every detail, every note—it was exactly what we had envisioned when we first talked about “joyful elegance.”

The Reception

If the ceremony and cocktail hour were the opening acts, the reception was the grand finale. The room was bursting with greens, pinks, yellows, and oranges, bringing that summertime energy Melany had been dreaming about since day one.

And then there was the dessert table. Truly—what a showstopper. Guests couldn’t get enough of it! It was fun, unexpected, and perfectly on theme for this color-filled day.

Celebrating Colombian Heritage

One of our favorite parts of planning with Melany was finding ways to weave her Colombian heritage throughout the day. Every detail was personal and full of meaning—from the custom maracas handmade in Colombia (used for the seating chart!) to the traditional Hora Loca celebration later in the night.

During the Hora Loca, dancers in costume and on stilts filled the dance floor, guests waved balloons and wore light-up accessories, and the entire room erupted with laughter and energy. It was one of those unforgettable moments that reminded us why we love what we do—watching people truly celebrate together.
